Municipal schools should be top in the country: Narayana
Municipal Minister P Narayana said here on Friday that the government would take necessary steps to make municipal schools top in the country in next two years. Interacting with the students at the AKTPM school premises, he said that the government had introduced foundation course in the municipal schools to make them as top in the country.

Interacting with the students at the AKTPM school premises, he said that the government had introduced foundation course in the municipal schools to make them as top in the country.
The state government had introduced the foundation course in the municipal schools following the directions of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. As many as 69,000 students have been studying foundation course in the schools he said and added that admissions have increased up to 20 per cent after introducing the courses.
The government has introduced foundation course from 6th standard by giving training to teachers, he said. The trained teachers also could give training to remaining staff to make students brilliant in various disciplines, he hoped.
On this occasion, the minister inquired about the foundation course feedback from students. They expressed satisfaction on the foundation course implementation procedures. Mayor Koneru Sridhar, Commissioner J Nivas and several officials were also present in the meeting.
