Guntur: Power Grid Corporation Additional General Manager NV Raju handed over a cheque of Rs 95 Lakh to District Collector K Sasidhar at the Collectorate here on Friday. The company gave this cheque for the rural development works.
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, a Central Public Sector Enterprise, under the Ministry of Power, is constructing a 765 KV GIS at Chilkaluripeta to provide transmission corridor for import of power to Amaravati.
As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Power Grid has taken up various rural developmental works, including CC Roads and drains, community halls, RO plants in various villages in Narasaraopet and Sattenapalli of the district.
