Delivering the inaugural address at the ‘Economic Growth:Smart, Reliable and Sustainable Power,’ a two-day conference organised by Confederation of Indian Industry on Friday, Jain assured that Andhra Pradesh was blessed with a combination of sunny and windy times and emphasised on the need for technologies for the solar, wind and hybrid projects. He also mentioned that all the PPAs would be honoured.
The Chairman, CII Energising South 2017 and Managing Director, Bhoruka Power Corporation Limited, S Chandrasekhar, shared the aspirations of Chief Minister, for focusing on advanced technologies, mainly storage solutions which would address the power issues as well prepare ourselves for the future. Emphasising that energy was the central to achieving country’s development ambitions, Chandrasekhar shared the interventions that the conference would offer and how industries can effectively connect with the stakeholders.
The Chairman, CII Andhra Pradesh and Chief Executive Officer, Better Castings, JSRK Prasad, discussed on the power perspectives of the state and mentioned that the conference assumed huge responsibility helping the stakeholders understand the current scenario, challenges faced in the sector, opportunities available in the value chain, policy changes sought.
Partner, Pricewaterhouse Coopers Amit Kumar, K Venugopal, Co Chairman, Power, Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Subcommittee, CII Southern Region K Venugopal also spoke in the inaugural ceremony of the conference.
