Women in Society through Engagement to open organic market on Sept 3
Women in Society through Engagement (WISE), the newly formed women\'s wing of the Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is organising an organic farmers market exclusively for the display and sale of organic and natural produce on September 3 for five days at the parking area in front of YMCA, Beach Road.
Visakhapatnam: Women in Society through Engagement (WISE), the newly formed women's wing of the Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is organising an organic farmers market exclusively for the display and sale of organic and natural produce on September 3 for five days at the parking area in front of YMCA, Beach Road.
GVMC Commissioner M Hari Narayanan will inaugurate the market at 6.30 am. Collector Pravin Kumar, along with his wife, will also visit the market at 7 am. The market will close at
9 am.
In tune with Vizag's aim of becoming a smart city, the women of WISE is debuting with this maiden event to bring healthy, affordable, naturally grown foods within reach of citizens of Vizag. By bringing the farmers in direct contact with consumers, WISE hopes to establish a long term, mutually beneficial relationship between the farmers and citizens of Vizag.
The market will also have pulses, cold pressed oils, spices, nuts, natural medicinal remedies, honey, coffee, all produced locally and naturally by the farmers in and around the city of Vizag. Araku coffee, fresh sugarcane juice and even flavoured honey will be put up for display and sale.
