Participating as a chief guest at the Ananda Lahari and Youth Cultural Competitions held at Sunaina Auditorium in Collectorate on Sunday, Krishna Murthy said that prior to Ananda Lahari the government has introduced Happy Sunday wherein all sections of people irrespective of age have participated and rejoiced a lot.

In the same manner Ananda Lahari has been introduced to give more entertainment and relief to people. This programme has been christened by the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to encourage youths to know well about the social problems and involve themselves to sort them out, he stated.

District Collector S Sathya Narayana said Ananda Lahari would help to hone the skills of youth. Youth by taking Swami Vivekananda as their inspiration must follow his footpaths to serve the society. Kurnool MLA SV Mohan Reddy said the government has introduced Ananda Lahari with an aim to give relief from daily stress and strain among employees.

Employees working in government and in private sector would be under work pressure for a period of six days. Ananda Lahari would help them get rid of entire six days stress, he stated.

Corporation Commissioner Harinath Reddy said that Ananda Lahari besides entertaining the people, it would also educate youth to known well about the social problems prevailing in the society. We have planned to organise the Ananda Lahari in a grand manner, he stated.

Around 200 youths participated in the Ananda Lahari and gave performances. Dance performances have been given by the students of Government Saradha Sangeetha Kalasala. Folk songs and cultural programs were performed on the occasion.
