Rajamahendravaram: The state government is delaying nod for extension to Justice CY Somayajulu Commission, which is inquiring into Pushkaralu stampede, in which as many as 29 pilgrims died on the first day of Godavari Pushkaralu - 2015.
Even though the commission, whose tenure expired on April 29, sought extension, the government denied it stating that arguments of both petitioners and respondents were recorded.
Speaking to The Hans India, Human Rights Forum chairman and AP Bar Association member Muppalla Subba Rao lashed out at the district administration for failing to submit necessary records to the Commission.
