Thunderstorms forecast for coastal Andhra Pradesh
Thunderstorms are very likely to occur in all districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours, the Met department bulletin warned on Sunday.
Hyderabad: Thunderstorms are very likely to occur in all districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours, the Met department bulletin warned on Sunday.
It said rainfall occurred at isolated places in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The bulletin said the monsoon was normal in the coastal and Rayalaseema districts. Heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in the two regions of Andhra Pradesh.
The bulletin listed the rainfall at different places in the State as follows (in cm):Kuppam (Chittoor district) 9, Bapatla (Guntur) 8, Venkatagirikota (Chittoor) 5, Chinnamandem (Kadapa), Kandukur, Karamchedu (both in Prakasam) 4 each, Guntur, Nellore, Punganur, Palasamudram 3 each, Obuladevaracheruvu (Anantapur), Santhipuram, Gurramkonda (Chittoor), Sambepalle (Kadapa), Vinjamur (Nellore), Prathipadu (East Godavari), Darsi (Prakasam), Mangalagiri and Sattenapalle 2 each.
