Kakinada: A WhatsApp message revealed everything about a person who killed four persons said district superintendent of police Vishal Gunni. Speaking at a press conference in district police office here on Monday Gunni disclosed the details. After producing the culprits before media SP said Badireddi Venkatesh from Nawabpet of Alamuru Mandal is the prime accused. Gunni further said the modus operandi of the prime culprit was to kill the money lenders from whom he took the loans by offering them food mixed with anaesthetic drugs.
He further told that a WhatsApp message about Venkatesh revealed the riddles and puzzles involved in this critical case. SP further told that Badireddi Venkatesh killed Chikkireddi Srinivas on August 11 with the help of Ganugula Srinivas who is the second accused in the murder crime. The deceased Chikkireddi Srinivas lent some money to Venkatesh. When Srinivas asked the return of his money several times Venkatesh failed to return the amount. When the pressure from Chikkireddi Srinivas mounted Venkatesh decided to kill him.
On the said date, Venkatesh asked him to come to Choppella Locks . With the help of Ganugula Srinivas, they fed biryani mixed with some sleeping pills to Srinivas, when Srinivas was in unconscious state Venkatesh killed Srinivas and threw his body into the river Godavari. Srinivas’s body was found in Godavari river near Kotipalli on August 17, SP added.
While interrogating Venkatesh, he confessed that he killed three more persons. SP further said that Venkatesh killed his aunt Badireddi Padmavathi by suffocating her in her own house in 2014 and took her cash worth 53,000 and two gold rings.
SP further told that Venkatesh took some loan from an old couple Angara Bulliyya and Angara Ramayamma and killed the both persons when they are asking their amount. Venkatesh took the old couple to Rajahmundry for a treatment and killed both of them by offering the food mixed with sleeping pills. SP further told that the body of Angara Bulliyya was thrown on a railway track and the body of Angara Ramayamma was burnt at the dumping yard near Bommuru.
SP Gunni appreciated the message sender to WhatsApp and urged all the public to utilise the WhatsApp number of the Police for any help. He appreciated the Ramachandrapuram Sub-Divisional Police Officer N.B.Murali Krishna, Mandapeta rural circle inspector K.Lakshmana Reddi and sub-inspector P.Dora Raju who investigated this critical case.
