Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation (APBWC) chairman Vemuri Anand Surya issued a memo on September 1, removing as many as 150 district and constituency level coordinators from their posts, which created sensation among Brahmin associations.

Speaking to reporters at press club here on Monday, Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Seva Sangha Samakhya (APBSSS) state general secretary K Satish Sarma condemned the chairman Anand Surya’s actions.

“The coordinators are working with commitment for development of the corporation. Because of them as many as 26,000 brahmins joined as members in AP Brahmin Credit Corporation by paying an amount of Rs 1,200. Now they are mounting pressure over the co-ordinators to return their amounts, creating tension to them. Will the chairman return of the amount,” he questioned.

Sarma said that they would meet Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in this regard. “If the government fails to take a right decision, it will see the wrath of Brahmin community,” he warned.Samakhya district unit president Jagannadha Rao and others were present.
