Anantapur: The police registered a case against son of city’s deputy mayor S Gampanna and four others for assaulting staffers of a local cinema theatre screening Paisa Vasool on Sunday night.
According to information, S Raghu, son of the deputy mayor of the ruling TDP, and his associates assaulted the theatre crew following a clash over parking of their vehicles. Three persons reportedly sustained injuries in the attack.
The clash ensued when Raghu and associates allegedly refused to pay parking fee by flaunting the VIP status. The II-Town police are investigating the case.
