Board bats for reduction in price of darshan tickets
The Durga Temple Trust Board here on Monday took a decision to reduce darshan ticket prices from Rs 300 to Rs 150 and other category from Rs 100 to Rs 50.
Vijayawada: The Durga Temple Trust Board here on Monday took a decision to reduce darshan ticket prices from Rs 300 to Rs 150 and other category from Rs 100 to Rs 50.
The Trust Board has passed a resolution recommending the new ticket prices to government which are planned to be implemented from the forthcoming Dasara Navaratri festival.

Trust Board chairman Y Gouranga Babu said the proposed new prices of tickets will be implemented after getting clearance from government.
The Trust board meeting discussed 47 important issues and resolutions were passed unanimously for 44 issues. The proposed new sevas and construction works were also discussed at the meeting.
Executive officer Surya Kumari said that the seva tickets for festivals were being made available online from Monday.
She also said the government would allow devotees from Ghat Road and all required arrangements were being made for the Dasara festival.
The temple also has plans to construct guest house complex at Gollapudi to provide accommodation for devotees. As many as Rs 15 crore would be spent for making arrangements for Dasara festival, she said.
