The expert team from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), New Delhi visited King George Hospital on Monday. The team came to Visakhapatnam for a three-day visit.

Visakhapatnam: The expert team from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), New Delhi visited King George Hospital on Monday. The team came to Visakhapatnam for a three-day visit.

The NABH & Healthcare Providers is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programme for healthcare organisations. The board has structured to cater to much desired needs of the consumers and to set benchmarks for progress of health industry, as per the Indian scenario.

During their visit to KGH, Superintendent KGH Arujuna conducted a meeting with the professors and heads of the departments along with the expert team members of NABH and presented a power point presentation of the existing departments, buildings and facilities provided to the outpatients and inpatients.

The team expressed that the KGH was far ahead of other government hospitals in terms of sanitation and health care providing to the patients. The process of accreditation will be continued stressing on the gap analysis and upgradation of the existing facilities in KGH.

The team comprises K Indira Devi, Professor Of Medicine, P Ashok Kumar, Professor Of Orthopaedics, C Sivakalyani, Nodal officer and Microbiologist, A Satyanarayana, Professor Of Anaesthesia, KSLG Sastry, CSRMO and VR Kesavaram, Hospital Administrator. The team will also visit Victoria general hospital and Mental Care.
