Third installment of crop loan waiver released

The state government on Tuesday released the third instalment under Crop Loan Waiver Scheme worth Rs 3,600 crores.

Speaking to the media, Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy informed that the amount will be deposited in the accounts of the farmers from September 10th or 12th onwards with additional 10% interests.
The Minister said that the AP government under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu has always catered to the farmers first always.
The TDP government had promised crop loan waiver during the election campaign which however, was not fulfilled and the government has been facing criticism in this regard ever since.
