Visakhapatnam: Gross negligence on the part of management of a play school claimed the life of a three-year-old boy. K Gouwtham was killed, when a portion of parapet wall collapsed on him at Surya Chandra Pre-School located in Visalakshinagar here on Monday.

Gowtham son of K Gopal Rao, an armed reserve constable, joined the school five months ago. On Monday, at around 10.45 am, after taking snacks, the boy went to washroom and while returning some portion of parapet wall of the terrace fell on him.

The boy was immediately shifted to a nearest corporate hospital, where the doctors declared brought dead.
No sooner the information of boy’s death reached than the correspondent and two women assistants locked the play school and fled away.

Arilova police station SI S Rajesh said that the negligence of the management of the school has claimed the life of the innocent boy as the school has been running in an old building.

The management repaired the front portion of the building and painted. However, the rear end of the building was damaged.
Coming down heavily on the management of the school, the father Gopal Rao said that the management did not inform them soon after the incident and there was delay in treatment. “I have made several phone calls to the management of the schools, but they didn’t respond so far,” Gopala Rao told newsmen.

Based on the report from the boy’s father, the police registered a case under Section 304 (II) of IPC (negligence leading to death). Police parties have sent to nab the correspondent of the play school.
