Vangaveeti Radhakrishna convened a press meet at the YSRCP office near Raghavaiah Park on Monday and announced that the fans of V M Ranga were hurt with the derogatory comments made by P Gowtham Reddy.

He said Gowthm Reddy was notorious for his land grabbing activities in the city when he was in CPI and he was accused in two murder cases and was also expelled from the city by the police.
Radhakrishna spoke to the media following Sunday’s developments in which he along with his mother Vangaveeti Ratnakumari were arrested and sent to Ibrahimpatnam police station and later released around 8 pm.
Radhakrishna has made it clear that neither his family members nor the fans of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga would tolerate comments against the family members particularly V M Ranga.
Asked whether he would ask for an apology from P Gowtham Reddy, Radhakrishna said there was no need for it.
He said Gowtham Reddy is a small leader with low stature. He said the YSRCP provided him an elevation and it should not have done so.
Asked what about the future course of action over the dispute, he said the fans of V M Ranga and activists of Radha and Ranga Mitra Mandali would decide what should be done.
He made it clear that he would abide by the fans’ decision over the controversy, which broke out after the comments made by Gowtham Reddy went viral in social media.
Radhakrishna further said that he would lodge a complaint with the higher officials of police department over the misbehavior of police while arresting his mother and former MLA Vangaveeti RatnaKumari at their residence at Mogalrajapuram.
He alleged that the police had dragged his mother and forcibly took her to the police station.‘The police misbehaved with the former MLA and Law and Order DCP had not given permission to hold a press conference,” he alleged.
He said, “I am conducting press conferences in this office for many years but there were no problems.” “The police misunderstood that I may provoke and incite violence following the comments made by Gowtham Reddy but it was not my intention,” he added. He questioned, “Why would I hold a press conference if I had any intention to incite violence.”
