The artiste continued the concert with the rare composition of Dr. Mangalampalli Bala Muralikrishna “Omkara Karini” in Lavangi ragam and other keerthanas like “Ninu vinaga mari gati evvaramma” in Poorvikalyani ragam of Syama Sastry composition, Saint Thyagaraja swamy kriti “Vinata suta Vahanudu” in Jayantasena ragam and Swathi Thirunal composition “Thillana” in Reetigowla ragam.

The week-long classical musical festival organised by Laya Nada Kala Sravanthi (LANKAS) concluded with the vocal concert of D Lakshmi Prachothan (Hyderabad) on Monday at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College in memory of yesteryears musician Lanka Venkateswarlu. The main vocal concert of D Lakshmi Prachothan commenced with varnam in Begada ragam composed by Patnam Subrahmania Iyer.

The ability of the vocalist was proved in the item Ragam tanam pallavi composed in Gowla, Reethigowla and Kedaragowla ragam. Commendable violin support was rendered by Hemadri Chandrakant and K Aravind excellently supported on mridangam and V Santhi Kaladhar on Kanjeera.

Earlier the students of Sri Parupalli Ramakrishnayya Pantulu presented a vocal group concert where Chavali Srinivas accompanied with violin and K Karthikeya Andinaryana Sarma accompanied on mridangam.

On the concluding day Modumudi Sudhakar was felicitated by the organisers. Well known music maestro Annavarapu Ramaswamy and Laya Nada Kala Sravanthi founder Lanka Bala Subrahmanyam conducted this felicitation.
