Vijayawada: The Telugu Desam Party has readied an action plan for the next six months to consolidate its vote bank by another 10 per cent. The TDP can win all the 175 seats in the State and get majority of votes too as per expectations, if it follows the model poll plan implemented in Kuppam, Nandyala and Kakinada, said Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party national president N Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing the party leaders at a one-day workshop here on Tuesday, he suggested to the rank and file of the party to take the recent Nandyal and Kakinada election results as model to achieve success.

The recent elections have put facts before the Opposition party which had claimed that it had better prospects of winning at Nandyal and Kakinada, Naidu pointed out. Explaining his secret on the continuous success formula in Kuppam constituency, he said that he had been maintaining relations with the public without fail even if he could not visit the constituency regularly.

“I visited Kuppam only 72 times though I have been representing the constituency for the last 30 years. In every election, I secured majority of 45,000 to 60,000 votes. Again I can get a majority of 60,000 votes, if an election is held now,” said Naidu exuding confidence. He asked the party leaders to make efforts to ensure uniform election results in all the constituencies. Area-wise differences in election results (majority) was not correct, he said and directed them to identify the real reasons to correct immediately.

He also called upon the leaders to take every election as a challenge. He said that he thought the YSR Congress party could only win below 10 divisions in Kakinada Municipal Corporation polls.

The Telugu Desam Party would conduct Intintiki Telugu Desam from September 11 for two months, the TDP supremo announced. Referring to the internal rivalries within the YSR Congress party, he said the leaders of the same party were openly revealing their plans to stall development of Amaravati capital.

He said he had never seen a leader like Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and party like YSR Congress. The Chief Minister said the government was constructing 18 lakh houses at a cost of Rs 50,000 crore. He said the government should strive to further improve public satisfaction by another 10 per cent.

Union Ministers P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Y Sujana Chowdary, Ministers N Chinarajappa, Kala Venkata Rao, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh and several other senior leaders were present.
