Dwaraka Tirumala: The forest officials have confirmed the existence of leopard in Tirumalampalem forest area in Dwaraka Tirumala mandal on Wednesday.

It may be noted that the wild animals have been attacked the cattle of farmers in Tirumalampalem, Gollagudem, Rajulapalem and other villages creating panic among villagers.

Some villagers told forest officials that they saw the leopard in their fields while attacking the cattle. In June, a leopard was died after consuming pesticide mixed meat in the fields of some farmers.

From that day, onwards they panicked about the leopard. However, the forest officials first denied these reports and said the pug marks collected will be sent to a lab for the test. After that, the officials on Friday confirmed that there was a leopard wandering around Tirumalampalem and Gollagudem areas. With two cubs, the leopard is wandering in these areas.

Following this, the forest officials have brought two cages and seven track cameras to this area. The equipment was installed in the areas where the leopard wandering. The officials said soon these cubs and leopard will be caught and shifted to the zoo.
