House damaged in cylinder blast

A house was partially damaged when a cooking gas cylinder exploded at Noonepallivari village in Rajampet mandal on Wednesday. No one injured in the incident as the family members were not present in the house when the blast took place.

According to sources, J Subbanarasa Raju left to nearby village along with his family members two days ago. Around 5.30 am, the neighbours heard a loud noise from the locked house and they immediately alerted Rajampet police. The fire fighters rush to the spot and doused flames. A police official said that mishap might have occurred due to short-circuit. The police registered a case.
