Jalasiriki Harathi programme was conducted on Wednesday at the Srisailam reservoir here to acknowledge the people’s liking and passion for water resources, in accordance with the orders of the Andhra Pradesh government. Vedic scholars performed pooja in the presence of Srisailam Temple Executive Officer Bharat Gupta and Srisailam Project Executive Engineer Manikyala Rao.

The programme will continue for three days. School students and people were present in large numbers. Later, a meeting was organised with stress on proper use of water resources. Among those present were TDP leader Janke Subba Reddy, mandal president Lakshminarayana.
