31 red sanders logs seized; one held

Acting on a tip-off, the Urban police arrested a red sander smuggler Rajashekar alias Raja near Ramachandrapuram Road on Wednesday morning. Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty said the police raided a godown at Yelahanka in Bengaluru city and seized 31 red sanders logs and a four-wheeler based on the information provided by arrested smuggler.
Tirupati: Acting on a tip-off, the Urban police arrested a red sander smuggler Rajashekar alias Raja near Ramachandrapuram Road on Wednesday morning. Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty said the police raided a godown at Yelahanka in Bengaluru city and seized 31 red sanders logs and a four-wheeler based on the information provided by arrested smuggler.
The SP stated that the police focused attention on red sanders smugglers operating from Chennai and Bengaluru. Mohanty stated that special teams were formed to nab red sanders smugglers. DSP (Task Force) Ravi Kumar, DSP (SB) Ravi and other police personnel were present.
