MP Dr K Haribabu assures placements, Mudra loans to students
Local MP Dr K Haribabu interacted with Skill Development Centre students, who are being trained in different technical works, here on Thursday.
Visakhapatnam: Local MP Dr K Haribabu interacted with Skill Development Centre students, who are being trained in different technical works, here on Thursday.
He visited all the blocks and observed the workshops. Later, he asked the faculty on types of training being imparted and also inspected hostel facilities. Addressing the youth, he said Andhra Pradesh will be looking at Vizag for skilled personnel.
He assured the students that after finishing three-month course, they would get placements and also provided with Mudra loans for those who wish to start their own units. He suggested to the trainees to learn the skill with dedication and determination.
Gani Lakshmi one of the trainees from Kakinada asked him for financial support to start self-employment unit and another student Santosh asked for bus pass on concessional fare. The MP announced solar water heaters for girls’ hostel from his Local Area Development Fund.
Earlier, secretary of the Skill Development Centre K Nagesh said 75 per cent of trainees are getting placements after completion of their course. He also explained about the training and placements where they provide. CV Das, Manager of the Centre and others were present.
