All tribal villages will get road access: Ministers
All tribal villages in the Agency of Srikakulam would get road access, assured Minister for Energy Kala Venkata Rao and Minister for BC Welfare K Atchannaidu. They attended the Sitampeta Integrated Tribal Development Authority (ITDA) governing body meeting at Sitampeta on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, they assured to provide roads to all tribal villages when MLAs raised the issue. Pathapatnam MLA KV Ramana demanded action against hostel welfare officers in tribal areas as they are not staying locally for which Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy responded and assured to take action after conducting an inquiry.
MLC PVN Madhav and MLA V Kalavathi asked for installment of bio-metric attandence system for teachers in the Agency areas to maintain specific time table. In turn, the Minsiters assured to revamp the system in the Agency to improve accountability among teachers.
Regarding health condition in the agency area, project officer of ITDA Lotheti Shiva Sankar explained preventive measures taken by the health department and distribution of mosquito nets. When MLAs demanded a probe into irregularities that took place in engineering works under ITDA since 2011, the Ministers assured for vigilance inquiry.
