Kurnool: Deputy Commissioner of Labour M Balu Naik flagged off a rally taken out by paramedical staff from the Government Hospital to the Medical College here on Friday sensitising people on Chandranna Bima scheme.

The state government is all set to implement the scheme from October 2. In case of natural death of an insured person aged between 18 and 50, Rs 2 lakh will be paid to his/her family members. And, the family of a dead person aged between 51 and 60 will be paid Rs 30,000. Rs 5 lakh will be paid for the person’s (aged 18-70) family who dies in accident.

The said amounts will be paid to respective beneficiaries on obsequies day. The government is taking steps to ensure that every family in the state is covered under the scheme.
