Rajamahendravaram: The differences cropped up between the administration and corporators including mayor posing a threat to the people coming to corporation office for various works. Discontent is brewing against the administration among corporators.

Many corporators are expressing dissatisfaction over the functioning of officials, along with Commissioner VVR Raju alleging that he is not giving proper respect to mayor and corporators and not in the reach of corporators.

Earlier, Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai many a time alleged in press meets that she was kept in dark about the development activities and the officials not giving proper information sought by her relating to development works in the city.
The corporators in some council meetings questioned whether the corporation was under special officer rule or under council.

During Godavari Maha Pushkaram-2015 also corporators expressed discontent over the execution of Pushkaralu works and Mayor Rajani Sesha Sai rejected to pass the bills relating to supply of food to pilgrims for some months.

It was alleged that Commissioner Raju informing important things to mayor on the last leg and working on his own relating to various works.

At one stage Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asked the officials and corporators to give respect to mayor post.
Meanwhile, local channel managing director Pantham Kondala Rao (husband of mayor Rajani Sesha Sai) alleged in a recent press conference that corruption was rampant in the city planning wing and top brass of corporation failed to control it.

He also said some officials showing disrespect towards corporators and mayor along with people coming to corporation office on various works. He also warned that an agitation will be launched if the top brass of corporation office failed to put an end to the menace and advised to stop monopolistic attitude.

Mayor Rajani Sesha Sai alleged that the officials violated protocol by mentioning her name in sixth position on corporation's 151 years plaque unveiled by the Chief Minister. The names on the plaque should be changed as per protocol, Mayor said.
