Kakinada: Director General of Police N.Samba Siva Rao on Friday said that the state government was planning to construct gated community houses for all the police constables with 1,600 to 1,800 square feet.

Addressing at police guest in Sarpavaram, the DGP regretted over the poor state of police quarters in the State.
He assured that the government would build gated community houses for constables soon. He also appealed to police to behave properly with people, who come to police station in difficult time.

The DGP said that the department has sanctioned 40 model police stations and 5 model police stations have already been built in the State.

Another 60 model police stations would be set up in next four months, he said and added with this, the total number of model police stations would be 100 in the State.

He told that all the model police stations would have same colour pattern. He added that not only the premises of police stations but also the surroundings of model police stations would be beautified with flower plants and saplings from Kadiyam nurseries.

The premises of every model police station reflect a refreshing and pleasant experience to public, he said. Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni and other police officials attended the meeting.
