Kakinada Municipal Corporation (KMC) Mayor election will be held on September 16. According to a notification issued by the State Election Commission, the nomination process for the election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor will commence on September 12 and the election will be held on September 16.

According to a notification issued by the State Election Commission, the nomination process for the election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor will commence on September 12 and the election will be held on September 16.
The Kakinada civic polls were conducted on August 29 and the results were declared on September 1.Out of a total of 50 divisions, two divisions (42,48) were excluded from the polls. Polling for remaining divisions was conducted and TDP won in 32 divisions, independents in 3 divisions and BJP secured victory in 3 divisions while the YSR Congress Party won in 10 divisions.
