Lokesh credits CM for water to Krishna delta
Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh said the Krishna delta was getting abundant waters for irrigation and as well as drinking water needs because of efforts by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Participating in Krishna Jalasiriki Harathi programme here on Friday, he said the three-day programme was being organised across the state to stress on the need for water preservation.
Vijayawada: Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh said the Krishna delta was getting abundant waters for irrigation and as well as drinking water needs because of efforts by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Participating in Krishna Jalasiriki Harathi programme here on Friday, he said the three-day programme was being organised across the state to stress on the need for water preservation.
He reiterated that that only Chandrababu Naidu could initiate and complete interlinking of rivers successfully. “The government has protected crops in Krishna delta by providing water on time. We will complete 23 irrigation projects in Rayalseema districts as well,” he assertedand congratulated the farmers for completing the target by digging five lakh farm ponds.
MP Kesineni Srinivas, MLCs Budda Venkanna, B Arjunudu, MLAs Gaddre Rammohan, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Jaleel Khan and several officials were also present.
