Amaravati: A man allegedly attempted to commit suicide by consuming pesticide at Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s residence in Undavali. This incident created flutter in the area for sometime. Gangula Srinivas Reddy, a resident of Proddutur, Kadapa district and who is said to be relative of Marketing Minister Ch Adinarayana Reddy, came to Chief Minister’s residence on Friday along with his wife and three children to explain his problems.

As the security personnel prevented him to go into Chief Minister’s residence, he allegedly consumed pesticide in full view of police. However, the police swiftly responded to his move and foiled his suicide attempt. The police took him into custody and left him at Vijayawada bus stand after some time.

Srinivas Reddy came to complain against Kesava Reddy, Chairman of Kesava Reddy Educational Institutions. He alleged that he lent money of Rs 5 lakh to Kesava Reddy, who is relative of Minister Adinarayana Reddy in 2012 but he did not repay it.

He said he took the issue to the notice of Minister several times and he gave assurance that the money would be repaid soon. “But the Minister did not stand on his words and warned me not to disturb him”, the victim said.

Srinivasa Reddy said two of his three children are suffering from cardiac related problems and he has no money to take them to hospital. The security personnel suggested him to meet Minister Adinarayana Reddy to explain his problem.
