Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister K E Krishna Murthy said he was not against any leader who wants to join Telugu Desam Party. In a press release on Friday, Krishna Murthy explained that he was not able to attend Chief Minister’s tour in Kurnool district only because of his ill health.

He said he would support the Chief Minister’s decision unconditionally over joining of other parties leaders. “I will not oppose the joining of Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samiti founder Byreddi Rajasekhar Reddy in Telugu Desam Party. He left TDP in the past. I will invite him if chief minister wants him to be taken into the party” Krishna Murthy said.

There are speculations that the minister, who is a strong BC leader in Rayalaseema and leading a faction of anti-Reddy community, is strongly opposing the joining of Rajasekhar Reddy in TDP. The issue has taken new turn with the absence of KE Krishna Murthy during the chief minister’s tour in his native district on Friday.
