3,000 candidates take part in Air Force recruitment rally
For the first time, Air Force conducted airmen recruitment rally here on Saturday. About 3,000 candidates attended the rally.
Vijayawada: For the first time, Air Force conducted airmen recruitment rally here on Saturday. About 3,000 candidates attended the rally.
The airmen aspirants arrived here by Friday itself. After a night’s stay at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium, the candidates assembled for the run from early hours in the morning. The officials tested physical fitness of the candidates. Those candidates who ran 1.6 km within 5 minutes and 40 seconds were selected.
The police blocked MG Road for traffic to conduct the recruitment rally. During afternoon session, the candidates who had qualified in the run took written test.
The candidates who passed the written test will be subjected to adaptability and dynamic factor tests on Sunday. All the candidates for Saturday’s recruitment run came from Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Nellore and Union Territory of Yanam.
The next airmen rally for candidates from Krishna, East Godavari, West Godavari and Guntur districts will be held on September 11. The process of recruitment for this batch will be concluded on September 12. The police have made elaborate bandobust arrangements for the rally.
