IT and Panchayat Raj Minister N Lokesh said that after playing a major role in Third Industrial Revolution, which was led by Information Technology, once again Andhra Pradesh has been gearing up to be part of Fourth Industrial Revolution by enabling Internet of Things (IOT) in all the industries. He stressed that development of Andhra Pradesh would be possible only with innovations.

The IT Minister visited the International Innovation Fair- 2017 being organised by Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society and Department of ITE&C in collaboration with Indian Innovators Association in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
On the second -day of the fair, he inaugurated the United Nations - Asian Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) international workshop on 'Supporting Innovative Entrepreneurs and Role of Technology Transfer' at Hotel Gateway.
Emphasising that the Andhra Pradesh government would always give top priority to new innovations and encouraging them, Lokesh said they have set up innovation hubs in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Anantapur and Kakinada to help the aspiring entrepreneurs of the respective regions.
Claiming that Andhra Pradesh was on development path by using technology, he said the State had registered 11.5 per cent growth rate while the country’s growth rate was 6 per cent.
Later, speaking to the media, the IT Minister said the land allotted to the parties for setting up companies at hills 1, 2, 3 in IT SEZ would be taken back as they failed to do so. Wherever the infrastructure was ready, the companies would start their operations, he added.

All pending elections in next six months: IT Minister Nara Lokesh said the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) elections would be held soon as well as pending elections in other places across the State too would be conducted in next six months.
He said that the people would vote for TDP as their government has taken up many development works and welfare schemes for the state and public.
