Tirupati: As the annual Brahmotsavams are fast approaching, the TTD engineering wing speeded up works to complete them before the stipulated time. Civil works like barricading, fixing grill gates, setting up entry and exit points at galleries, painting works, white washing, beautification of ghat roads, rangolis inside and outside the temple premises are under progress. Already, four mada streets were decorated with rangolis and colour paints.

The electrical wing of the TTD is setting up huge supportive wooden arches to place mammoth spiritual characters for the mega religious fete. More than 50 arches are coming up at various places including GNC tollgate in Tirumala, adjacent to Vaibhavotsava Mandapam, near Asthana Mandapam and at museum. The TTD has allocated about Rs 8 crore towards the engineering works for the ensuing Brahmotsavams to add the extra glitz and glamour to the annual fete. The Kalyana Vedika which will be hosting a series of exhibitions is being readied for the mega event.
The TTD water works department brought the Srivari Pushkarini to use after installing new filters for water purification. The water is being preserved in Kumaradhara, Pasupdhara and Papavinansanam dams for drinking purpose.
This year, the TTD garden department is readying the special garden exhibition near Gogarbham dam. In ghat road, the police and TTD security are jointly taking measures to prevent accidents during Brahmotsavams. The TTD deployed more than 1,000 technical and engineering staff for speeding up the works. EO Anil Kumar Singal has directed the official to complete the works ahead of schedule. Tirumala JEO Srinivasa Raju has been reviewing the progress of ongoing works daily.
