Visakhapatnam: The three-day International Innovation Fair-2017 being organised by Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society in collaboration with Indian Innovators Association (IIA) in Visakhapatnam was flooded by innovations in various fields by Indians and foreigners. As many as 30 stalls were set up by Indian Universities, colleges and start-ups in total while another 30 have been set up by foreigners.
International Federation of Inventors Associations (IFIA) President Alireza Rastegar inaugurated the International Innovation Fair on Saturday. The fair is aimed to bring out awareness among several key groups involved in innovations and business about the global products, said Prof V Valli Kumari, CEO, AP Innovation Society, during the inaugural event.
“Like IIA in this country, there are similar organisations in other countries too. We are the access points to network with various stakeholders including governments, business partners, Start-ups, universities, colleges and schools,” said Indian Innovators Association President AS Rao.
The fair witnessed the footfall of students from schools and colleges along with their faculty members. All of them were curious to know about the innovations and explanations by the participants, who are from Egypt, Germany, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, China and others. Some of the Indian start-ups displayed about their products related to e-learning courses, agriculture, science and technology.
Several students of schools and colleges have come up with their own projects, which got selected by the Department of Science and Technology, said AS Rao.
