When the issue was brought to the notice of Commissioner of Police Gautam Sawang, he okayed it wholeheartedly. At a function held here on the occasion, the CP handed over the cheque to Kumari who retired in June this year. Joint Police Commissioner PV Ramana Kumar, Home Guard Commandant P Prakasa Rao, DSP Ramakrishna, Home Guard Association president V Seshacharyulu and others were present.
