Committee Director Lokku Yona said that problems began to pour in since the selection of Bishop Pushpa Lalitha.

She has appointed her own brother as legal advisor to the Diocese to evade the irregularities. With malafide intentions, she had suspended Reverend Theodor, who has won the election to the post of Bishop with a huge majority. Now Theodor’s family was leading a pathetic life in penury, he lamented.

He also alleged that Pushpa Lalitha was threatening to file cases against them under Nirbhaya Act with the help of her brother if any of them questioned her about the irregularities taking place at the Nandyal Diocese.

Since her election as Bishop, no developments took place at the five districts that fall under the Nandyal Diocese, alleged Lokku Yona.

Construction of a community hall in Kurnool town and a church at Nandyal have come to halt and there is no transparency regarding the accounts. If anyone questions about the irregularities, she used to threaten them that they would be suspended from the membership.

In the recent times, she has suspended the membership of one Mekala Sekhar, a committee member of Holy Cross Cathedral. In the capacity of a Bishop, Pushpa Lalitha has went abroad several times but she did not reveal the amount brought from there. If questioned, she use to serve show cause notice, he alleged.

He said that they would organise a huge agitation at Chennai if action was not taken on Bishop Pushpa Lalitha.
