Vijayawada: Muslims organised a massive rally to condemn the massacre of Muslims in Myanmar in Sanatnagar here on Sunday. They raised slogans against the rulers of Burma for failure to save the lives of innocents. They flashed placards with graffiti ‘The Face of Buddhist Terror’, ‘Stop Killing Burma Muslims’ and others. They wanted justice to the families being killed by army in that country. The local people gathered after prayers and took out a procession to highlight the plight of refugees in Myanmar.

Speaking on the occasion, Muslim elders expressed deep concern over atrocities on women before their barbaric murders. They also wanted the administration to stop killing of children who cannot cross the border. The agitators wanted the United Nations Organisation to intervene and stop the massacre. It was high time India also convey its feelings and give way for refugees, the leaders said while addressing the gathering.
