Orientation for GITAM medicos
The orientation programme for new MBBS batch (2017-18) at GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (GIMSR) commenced here on Tuesday at GITAM University. The students from 13 states participated in the programme, along with their parents, on the first day.

Addressing the students and parents, GITAM president Dr MVVS Murthi emphasised the need of sincere efforts to understand the MBBS curriculum. He advised the parents to monitor the progress and behaviour of their wards regularly by visiting the college and the hospital. He also mentioned that GITAM was committed to put all efforts to train the medicos to meet the international standards.
GITAM University Vice-Chancellor Prof MS Prasada Rao said that multidisciplinary approach is need of the hour in medical education to meet the present day requirements.
