Tirupati: CPI national secretary K Narayana on Thursday demanded resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his total failure in addressing the public grievances in the country.

Speaking to media, Narayana said that the BJP-led NDA government has totally failed in solving the woes of public and threatened to launch a campaign from villages and towns from September 15 to October 15 against the government. Before coming to power, Modi said that he would recover the black money stashed away in foreign banks.

But, in his three-and-half years tenure, the government failed to recover a single rupee from Swiss Banks, where black money lies, Narayana said.

At the time of elections in 2014, Modi assured to distribute Rs 15 lakhs black money to poorest of poor, the CPI leader said and added but still it was pending. The BJP government should be answerable to public on black money seize, the CPI leader said. The CPI leader said that there is no need to ban the Kancha Ilaiah book “Komatlu Samajika Smugglers”.

“It is his opinion, if you differed with his view you should publish a booklet against Ilaiah book,” he said.Arya Vysya community is politicising the book to get mileage on it, he said and added “it is one type of curbing freedom of expression”. In the state, he said the TDP government failed in creating jobs for unemployed youth, farmers facing crisis in agriculture sector, first time due to failure of Modi government, countries GDP rate fallen more than 3 per cent and came down to single digit, said CPI leader.
