Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra directed the officials to complete the infrastructure development works taken by Kakinada Smart City Corporation Limited (KSCCL) within the given time under the Special Purpose Vehicle(SPV) mode.

Chairing a meeting to review progress of works taken up under the Kakinada Smart City Corporation Limited, at the Collectorate here on Thursday, the collector told that expansion works of Optical Fibre Lines for 62 km core path were completed with Rs 94.89 crore under system integration.

He told that 362 smart street lights were installed in selected places. Mishra further instructed the officials to arrange CCTV cameras and Wi-Fi access points in proposed areas of the city. He instructed the officials to complete the digital and virtual classroom works before the completion of Dasara vacations with Rs 12.50 crore.

The collector asked the officials to prepare detailed project report for beautification of canal with Rs 92 crore. He directed the officials to call tenders for fish processing unit works and boat building yard works with an estimated cost of Rs 49 crore. Mishra also instructed the officials to bring e-rickshaw, e-street and e-health facilities to public as early as possible. Smarty City SPV MD and Commissioner Aleem Basha, CEO Sujay Arun and SE Vijay Kumar participated.
