Route cleared for seed access road

Amaravati: The land acquisition challenges to seed axis road, which is main entry to Amaravati capital city location, will be cleared by September.
The important road works were stopped in midway as some land owners reluctant to give their lands for laying roads along with capital city construction.
Now the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) and Revenue department jointly made plans to acquire lands by following due procedures including paying compensation fairly or forcibly taking land under the provision of emergency requirement for public utility purpose.
The State government is all set to launch administrative capital city works from September 30. According to officials, the State government has finalised plans to construct six-lane road in 21 kilometres stretch for Amaravati capital city in two directions from Tadepalli to Dondapadu village with an estimated cost of Rs 600 crore.
Already the road works have been launched from Dondapadu to Vundavalli in 8 kilometres stretch but the works are being completed at brisk pace in the 14 kilometres stretch only. Still the works are yet to be taken up in the remaining 4 kilometres stretch. The landowners have objected to give their lands under land pooling scheme for capital city construction. The road works were forced to stop between the of Rayapudi-Venkatapalem-Vundavalli villages.
The officials convinced the land owners in Rayapudi by additionally allotting 60 houses as compensation under the land pooling scheme. The road needs 110 hectares land out of which farmers did not give consent for 10 hectares.
Now the officials have decided to take the possession of land by September through paying compensation even if the land owners are reluctant to give land but the compensation amount would be deposited in courts, said one senior official of CRDA.
On the other hand, the land acquisition process yet to be taken up for second stretch of road between Vundavalli to Tadepalli. The land owners are demanding more compensation, the official commented.
