Chittoor:The negligent attitude of Apollo management in Chittoor Government Hospital has once again come to the fore as it literally failed to follow the instructions of the Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas.

During his visit to Chittoor Government Hospital on Saturday, the Minister directed the Apollo administration to remit the salaries of sanitation staff of Chittoor Government Hospital within six hours in the presence of Collector PS Pradyumna and Chittoor SP Ramesh Babu and DCH Dr Saramma.

It may be recalled that certain sanitation workers of Chittoor Government Hospital have complained to the Minister that they did not receive their salaries for the last six months. The Minister after enquiring with the concerned authorities, called upon the Apollo management and instructed them to remit their salaries before Saturday evening and comply with his orders. Though Apollo management consented to follow the instructions, it failed to fulfil the promise of Health Minister.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, Dr A Arun kumar, Superintendent of Chittoor Government Hospital, said that none of sanitary workers of hospital received their wages so far until Saturday night.

He said Commissioner, AP Vaidya Vidhana Parisahd has already served a notice to Apollo management to bear the costs of sanitation, pest control and rodents besides material pertaining to sanitation as Chittoor Government Hospital was handed over to Apollo Management on clinical attachment basis for 33 years.

He said an official communication was already sent to Apollo management for bearing the cost of sanitation and others of Chittoor Government Hospital which did not respond positively. He admitted that the entire management of Chittoor Government Hospital was vested with Apollo Group of Hospitals.

It may be recalled here that Health Minister K Srivas who visited Chittoor Government Hospital on Saturday has received many complaints against Apollo Management in CGH on several aspects.

Reacting over the allegations made against Apollo Management and its service in CGH, the Minister assured that he would conduct a full-fledged enquiry with a competitive authority for taking due action against them in this regard.
