The Minister laid the foundation stone for BT roads in S Rangarayapuram village and Thalada, Mandakuriti and Modugulapeta villages at an estimated cost of Rs 1.80 lakh and Rs 85 lakh respectively. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister expressed displeasure over criticism made by leaders who are facing corruption charges and court trial against the development and welfare activities.
He indirectly warned main opposition YSRCP leaders not to create hurdles in development activities. Minister said that BJP led NDA government at the Centre and TDP government in the state are concentrating for development of remote areas by improving road connectivity.
Development works, including irrigation projects, are going on at a brisk pace though the state is facing financial crunch. Previous governments had amassed wealth in the name of projects, he alleged. TDP leaders, K Pratibha Bharathi, K Appala Naidu and officials were present.
