As part of National Green Tribunal - Regional Conference on Environment-2017 in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, the Technical Session-2 was chaired by Justice A Rajasheker Reddy, Prof VSRK Prasad, Chairman of SEAC, AP acted as co-chairperson and GPS Murty, Senior Principle Scientist & Scientist in-charge, CSIR- NIO, Visakhapatnam acted as panelist.

Prof V Srinivasa Chary, Director, Centre for Energy, Environment, Urban Governance and Infrastructure Development, Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad delivered a lecture on ‘Solid Waste Management. “The Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) in India contains about 70 per cent of recyclable waste. Hence, suitable measures are to be taken to segregate the MSW and treat more effectively,” he said.
