Concern over increasing suicide tendency
Chiranjeeva Nursing Home director and noted social worker Dr Radha on Saturday put the total number of suicide deaths that took place in East Godavari district in a span of two months at 56. These deaths were caused because of taking a decision on the spur of the moment.

Addressing participants of a seminar on prevention of suicides at Prasidda Engineering College in Anatavaram, she said that it was not proper to take recourse to suicides instead of attempting a solution to the problem. She said that her hospital counsels patients suffering from psychological problems. She advised students not to get addicted to cinemas, TV, Facebook and WhatsApp.
Mummidivaram CI Ramana Rao asked people having suicide tendency to think for a while instead of jumping to conclusions.
Well-known advocate Santi Kamala, physician Badeti Nageswara Rao, principal Veerabhadra Rao and others took part in the programme.
