He said due to introduction of vehicle, there was no need for blood donors to come to hospital for donating blood and the vehicle will come to the doorstep of donor and collects the blood. Earlier, the blood was collected from donors in hospitals, which sometimes get spoiled due to various reasons, he said. As the vehicle was equipped with highly sophisticated equipment, blood once collected from the donor would be stored for long time and could be used at appropriate time, he said.

The Minister said the blood which was collected from donors would be supplied to needy at free of cost at the doorstep of patient. He said this is first of its kind facility in the State introduced in Proddatur government hospital. The minister also inaugurated lift facility installed at a cost of Rs 16 lakh and Rs 20 lakh ventilator in the hospital. He also felicitated B Rammohan, who donated ventilator to the hospital.

Civil Supplies Department Chairman Lingareddy, Hospital Development Chairman B Srinivasulu Reddy and TDP district president Srinivasulu Reddy were present. Responding to 24 hours fast launched by Proddatur MLA R Siva Prasad Reddy on liquor shops issue in the town, the minister said the MLA could bring this issue to the notice of government for initiating action.

He said that both YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his party MLAs have no respect on the government and always tries to create law and order problem by politicising issues to get mileage.
