Srisailam Project receives 2 lakh cusecs

The Srisailam Project as on Saturday morning received two lakh cusecs from Almatti and Narayanapur projects in Karnataka and the Jurala Project in Telangana taking the water level in the project to 840.70 ft as against the full reservoir level of 885 ft.
Srisailam: The Srisailam Project as on Saturday morning received two lakh cusecs from Almatti and Narayanapur projects in Karnataka and the Jurala Project in Telangana taking the water level in the project to 840.70 ft as against the full reservoir level of 885 ft.
Against the total water storage capacity of 215 tmc, the project has 62.94 tmc. The project received 1,09,000 cusecs from the Jurala Project by 7 pm on Saturday. However, the Srisailam project is discharging 4,263 cusecs into Nagarjuna Sagar project after the hydel power generation.
The joy of farmers knew no bounds following inflows into the project. The inflows will also solve drinking water problem.
