Vijayawada: Arrangements will be completed in two days for the successful conduct of the nine-day Dasara festivities adobe Indrakeeladri, said Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao on Sunday.
The Minister along with MLC Buddha Venkanna and temple executive officer A Surya Kumari inspected the queue lines, drinking water, electricity and other arrangements for the smooth conduct of the annual festival from September 21 to 30.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the State government is prestigiously conducting the Dasara celebrations at Kanaka Durga temple on Indrakeeladri because it is the second important temple in the State and lakhs of devotees are expected to visit the temple. He informed that the queue lines will be ready in two days and adequate drinking water, butter milk and Prasadam packets will be arranged.
He said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu along with wife would offer Pattu Vastralu to Goddess Kanaka Durga on September 27 on the auspicious occasion of Moola Nakshatram. He further said invitations to the VIPs and other dignitaries have already been sent and arrangements were underway for the media coverage.
He informed that endowment, police, revenue, electricity and other departments were working in co-ordination and all arrangements will be in place in two days.
Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao further said the government formed the Trust Board which would work in co-ordination with the temple authorities.
Temple EO A Surya Kumari explained the arrangements made by the Endowments Department staff for the successful conduct of Navaratri fete.
Earlier, temple priests welcomed Minister Uma Maheswara Rao, MLC Buddha Venkanna and other officials on their arrival on the hill shrine.
