General Manager of East Coast Railway Umesh Singh participated in Swachchata Mission on Sunday. As per the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘Swachchta hi Sewa’ a fortnight cleanliness drive was being observed in all the railway stations, colonies, parks, hospitals and other work places in the Waltair division.

Visakhapatnam: General Manager of East Coast Railway Umesh Singh participated in Swachchata Mission on Sunday. As per the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘Swachchta hi Sewa’ a fortnight cleanliness drive was being observed in all the railway stations, colonies, parks, hospitals and other work places in the Waltair division.

The General Manager stressing the importance of the drive rushed to Visakhapatnam and participated in the cleanliness programme and planted saplings at Marripalem.

While interacting with supervisors, staff and families in the railway colony, Umesh Singh urged the people to keep the premises clean.

Divisional Railway Manager Mukul Saran Mathur, along with officers, railway doctors, staff, colony residents, organised mass cleanliness drive at Wirelesss Colony and cleared tonnes of debris and garbage.

Speaking on the occasion, the DRM urged the colony people to make a cleanliness drive on a regular basis to keep their premises clean.

Bharat Scouts and Guides participated in the cleanliness drive at Visakhapatnam Railway Station and organised awareness campaign at the station along with the railway officials.
