MLA Modugula takes part in Swachhata Mission
MLA Modugula Venugopala Reddy and Guntur Municipal Commissioner Challa Anuradha on Sunday conducted Swachhata Mission programme in Gujjanagundla Park and removed weeds and cleaned the park premises. They also conducted srama danam programme.

Speaking on the occasion, M Venugopala Reddy said, following the instructions from the Central government, the State government was observing Swachhata Mission programme from September 15 to October 1.
He said that the GMC was conducting the same programme to keep the city clean. He sought the co-operation of the people to keep Guntur city to be in the first place in the state and added that the GMC will be declared open defecation free city in the next 15-days. He sought the cooperation of the people for this purpose.
GMC Commissioner Challa Anuraradha said the NGOs and several other associations are cleaning up the hospitals and parks under the Swachhata Hi He urged the staff to keep the toilets clean and stressed on need to segregate the garbage. She urged the people to participate in programme and make it a grand success. GMC Deputy Commissioner D.Srinivasa Rao and several officials were present on the occasion.
